  1. I think when you are a stick to the book teacher your students would get bored at some point, because there are no magic moments

    1. Does being a stick to the book teacher mean you shut down and stop them? Because I imagine they could still happen, since the students are the ones that usually create them right?

    2. Sebastian I have the same perception. If you are a stick-to-the-book-teacher, you won't have time to take advantage of the magic moments, because you will think of them as situations that take you away from the book's topics. So, you'll switch off the magic moments created by the students.

    3. There is also the possibility of the magic moment leading into the next topic of the book, especially since great effort is usually taken to construct the course books to find the best order, this has happened in our classes too, where while learning our conversations sometimes lead into what we would be learning next

    5. I agree with Sebastian. Even though stick to book methord is predictable, we can still design extra activities in each part. We can also plan lessons in an mixed order of topics.

  3. I feel like we should be a little of each type of teacher since each has it's flaws and strong points. Corridor teacher is good for when you see SS maybe struggling with what you're teaching at the moment so while they have a 5 minute break and you go to the bathroom you might think of a perfect activity to help them comprehend better. A super ready teacher seems to be a great choice but just like a stick to the book teacher maybe one unplanned moment can knock you off your game although, I find it to be very important to know what you're going to teach , how and what activities will be done. Jungle path and shopping list can be things you just add to your classes spontaneously to make it more interesting or to wake up your students if they're falling asleep.
