Hello everybody and welcome to Module 3 of your TEFL course. For this part of the process, we are going to focus on some very important aspects of your professional practice as teachers: Curriculum and Material Design.
Remember: Your participation is KEY! :)
Hey, David. Your predation is very impressive, which software BTW. Can you explain a bit more about the technology part, please? Also I have a question: I am in a high school in town, and students here want to learn English by watching movies sometimes. However we don't have this device here. Then how do I meet what is they want to what we have? How to handle situation like the gap between resources and needs?
Hello Rebbeca, thanks for your positive feedback! I did the presentation with Prezi, U can create a free account and do your PP the only thing is that they'll be public. https://prezi.com/ In the part related with technology, I was trying to explain that the technol access comes from NTHGH (or just a blackboard) to a class based exclusively on high technol devices. On the other hand, and refferring to your question, maybe there is an auditorium or some kind of classroom with viedo-beam and audio. So, you would just need to bring your computer for the day of the movie. Or if that's not possible, it will be a good idea to follow Angela's suggestion: "the sudents are the most important resource". Aditionally, U can see the full pp on https://prezi.com/ioec6gc1ucwf/who-the-ss-are-and-what-are-their-needs/ and if you have more question, let me know.
Thank you Juan. The technology development brings issues in education. From my point of view I think teacher is not only passing on knowledge but also motivating them. I think as teacher we must be very creative to make them interested in studying:-)
You're wellcome! Angela, I just put myself in Rebecca's shoes, but I have to admit I'm a bit of super-ready teacher. In addition to your response Rebbeca, I would say that creativity is in part a consequence of doing what you love. Therefore, if you love teaching, you'll find creative solutions to common or not common problems. now talking about tecnhol, it can help your SS to become authonomus learners, which is the aim of teaching.
